St George’s Day 2011

Today it was a lovely day. It has been beautiful weather all week and today, St George’s Day, was the best of the lot.

In order to celebrate St George’s Day, a local park held a themed day. It was a bit of a mx up, to be honest, as we had thought the day was held at one park, but it was actually held at another. So by the time we actually got to the place, there was only and hour left. Not to worry though, we still saw the two main things we had planned on seeing. The falconry was so amazing! I’ve seen plenty of bird shows before, but this one was fantastic. You know that the birds love the trainer, when he can have them on his arm without a glove. They were easily the best I had ever seen.

Also, they had jousting. The one thing I dislike about it is that they can drag it on a bit. I really did enjoy it though, it’s just something different to do on a Saturday. The troupe was amazing, apparently they have been in films and television programmes.

About half an hour ago, it started raining. It’s become quite stormy since, with thunder and lightning. Oh well, I knew it would rain soon I had just hoped it would hold out a couple of days.

I still haven’t bought any Easter eggs, I think I will wait until they are reduced on Monday.

xx

P.S. Doctor Who in an hour, so excited!
