Street Party!

 

[Or as we Essex supposedly call it, “partaayyyy!”]

Just came back from my street party. I wasn’t too sure what to expect, thinking I would probably stay about half an hour and that would be about it. I stayed pretty much for the duration – 2.30-6.30 :)  I was pleasantly surprised by the turnout, I mean I have live in my street for 18 years and never really met anyone but it was a really friendly atmosphere. The woman who organised it dressed up as Kate, from the dress right down to the mask perched lightly on her head! We played games like egg and spoon races and three-legged race (I lost miserably but it was still great fun!)

I also found out that I quite like Pimms. I only knew 1 person when I arrived but they introduced me to their friends who came with a bottle of Pimms. We got through 2 bottles lol, which is quite a lot considering you dilute the stuff! Had a great day, so thanks to William and Kate for the bank holiday :) I really enjoyed it!

Now we know  each other a bit better, we are hoping we could have a Jubilee party next year! Woo!!!
