Anyway, it will be nice to have warm towels from an “airing” cupboard in the morning. So today we went to a tile shop to try and make a decision on what we want. We have got a few samples now so hopefully we’re a step closer to deciding what we want.
We’re hoping (not 100% sure yet, though) to get a “p-shaped” bath so it does actually look like it’s mean to be a shower. I really like them so fingers crossed :)

Fell in love with some slate floor tiles today, although they weren’t particularly practical - because of the way they are made up of layers, if you drop something heavy on it it may shard and be quite rough underfoot which you don’t really want for a bathroom where you will have bare feet. Found something similar, though, which is also lovely. It is more expensive but far more suitable and will hopefully last longer.

We just need to really decide on the wall tiles now, I think we’re going to go for something like this:

It is a white tile so we would probably style it in a brick style pattern. We are going to have some blue paintwork, though so it won’t be too bland!
You see, I know how I would decorate the bathroom if it was my own house and money was no object, but that’s a different story lol :) Maybe I will tell you all about my imaginary house one day…in 20 years time it would be interesting to look back and see how my dream differed from my my grown up reality ;)
