Today I had an opticians appointment to check that my contact lenses are still a good prescription and fit. I arrived for my appointment 20 minutes early and asked out of interest if there was a space earlier. When they told me there wasn't, I said not to worry, and that I would just sit and wait until then. At 1.40, I had still not been seen. I was approached by the manager (he seemed very helpful and quite embarrassed by the situation) who told me that both of the opticians who were supposed to examining patients had gone to lunch, as it hadn't been acknowledged that I had arrived. I later discovered that the woman who was meant to be seeing me would have had to walk straight passed me in order to go to lunch. Now, bearing in mind she would have had me on on record as having "missed" the appointment and there was nobody else doing examinations, and I was still sitting in the waiting area, I would have expected her to at least enquire to why I was there. She didn’t, she just walked straight out! I didn’t even realise she was the person meant to be seeing me! I wouldn’t have just strolled into the opticians to sit down, just because I felt like it, would I?!
I was really annoyed to be honest. It hadn’t been the best day. I had just had my last Geography exam and I’m not too sure how well it did. You know when you’re sitting in the exam hall and you think that it’s going really well, but then you come out and from what everyone else is saying it sounds like you’ve failed? Yeah that’s my current train of thought. I had the same thing on Wednesday :(
On Tuesday I had the first A2 geography exam, which I knew was going quite badly but by Wednesday afternoon I had spoken to people and been reduced to tears from the fact that I know I’ve done so horribly lol. So yeah, at this rate I think I will have to stay at college and resit it which will be pants because I haven’t really enjoyed it (can’t complain about the social life, lol but the teaching is appalling!). Oh well, just General studies and English left and then I have finished college :D I’m quite looking forward to General studies as I enjoy it, because I’m a geek. Going to do LOAADDDS of English revision this week for English as it’s the most important subject to me and I have to pass to get where I want to in life. Grade 6 music theory exam tomorrow, so going to do some revision for that tonight too (probably better things to do on a Friday night but hopefully it will be worth it).
xx
