Okay, this will be a bit of a challenge; I was having a conversation with Sophie [in my English class] today, and she had found someone who had made a list of things which make them happy. I was inspired to write my own list, but aim to do it as a poem. Please remember that poems don’t all have to rhyme! Oh, and ignore the numbers, they are just for me :)
- When I see the sun in the sky, it makes me happy
- When I think of how far I have come in life, it makes me happy
- When I visit my family, it makes me happy
- When my boyfriend comes to visit me, it makes me happy
- When I visit Chris and his family, it makes me happy
- When someone writes me a poem, it makes me happy
- When I think of our future, it makes me happy
- When I look at photographs from a good night out, it makes me happy
- When I read my friend’s blog, it makes me happy
- When I go to a wedding, it makes me happy
- When I am baking with Chris, it makes me happy
- When I hug my teddy, it makes me happy
- When I hear a cheerful song, it makes me happy
- When the kitchen is clean, it makes me happy
- When I hear the Beach Boys, it reminds me of Dance Band, and it makes me happy
- When I finish my assignments, I am happy
- When I eat apple crumble, it makes me happy
- When I am dancing, I am happy
- When I am getting ready for a night out, it makes me happy
- When I think about Christmas, it makes me happy
- When I think of the decorations I will have for Christmas when I finish university, it makes me happy
- When I spend less than I thought I would, it makes me happy
- When I paint my nails in patterns, it makes me happy
- When I drink a delicious hot chocolate, it makes me happy
- When people buy me flowers, it makes me happy
You have no idea how hard it was to put my finger on things which make me happy! I am positive there are lots of things which make me happy, but lots of them are linked and thus repetitive; also I just couldn’t think of them at the time. Hopefully, if I ever feel sad, I will be able to read these to cheer me up :)
xx
