For the last couple of days I’ve been helping at my mum’s primary school (she’s a teacher). So that’s my excuse for the distinct lack of posts recently. I used to go quite regularly to help but I haven’t for the last year or so, and she’s since moved year groups. So they didn’t recognise me from before, especially as they would have been so young at the time – only year 3/4 :) Anyway, within the first day I heard two children talking, “so is Miss Johnson* (that’s what they called me), Mrs Johnson’s sister?” Now don’t get me wrong, my mum looks very young for her age but no way are we sisters. This was later followed by “maybe they’re twins. They have the same coloured hair (not true) and the same glasses (also untrue). Anyway, I’m not sure if I should be offended, or my mum should be flattered lol ;)
Oh well, they’re only children x
Tomorrow I’m going to Alton Towers :) We’re staying over in a local Travelodge because otherwise everyone will be too tired to drive straight home at stupid o’clock :)
