April Fool

One thing you should learn about Earth (I say 'Earth' because I don't know whether it is a purely British culture thing...is that on April 1st you should believe nothing you hear. EVER!)
Sometimes the 'fools' are fairly transparent, for example the classic 1957 'Spaghetti Tree' hoax:

However, they are sometimes very believable.
This years, the first April Fool's joke I encountered was on Firebox. With all of the hype surrounding Iron man this year (Iron man 3 is out this month...insert excitable squeal here!), they supposedly bought out a fully functioning suit (well, not with weapons, but full sized and can fly).

At £250,000 it sounds expensive but if you consider the amount of technology which would go into it, it would actually be a bargain! Although it initially sounds far fetched, you would be amazed by the amount of time and money people put into making suits like this for cosplay events.
Unfortunately, however, it was a joke :(
There were many other April Fools jokes around this year, but this one definitely was the best in my opinion!
I'm keen to see which ones crop up next year :)

xx
