Hmm so I've not posted anything for a month and unfortunately it's been so long that I have forgotten a lot of things which have happened...so I'll start from today.
Today I came back home for the Easter break. The journey was fine...until I got to Stratford. It all went down hill if I'm honest. I was lugging my stupidly large suitcase UP the stairs due to some sort of miscalculation on which platform I would come out on (normally I just walk out right next to the correct one but this time I found myself with another track in front of me which I needed to cross in order to get to my chosen train. Anyway, after battling my way through inconsiderate Londoners, I finally got to the platform and wasn't sure I would make the train which was about to leave so headed over to where the next one was just about to pull in. Then, a transport advisor (I'm not sure of their actual job titles, but it was the man on the platform giving advice to passengers) told me I had to get the one which was about to leave. I'm not overly sure why as the next one was leaving in several minutes and it would have given enough time to walk to the front of the train. Needless to say, I raced to the train and attempted to pull my case on. Its wheels got caught in the gap between the train and the platform. Panic set in as I knew that the train was due to leave. I pulled harder on my case causing the handle to literally snap off in my hand. Overcome by a state of rage, panic and tears I managed to tumble onto the train to see that everybody had been watching as if it was a soap opera. Everyone had seen (clearly they would have seen that I was on the verge of a break down) yet nobody even got up from their shabby little seat to attempt to lend a hand. Welcome home :|
Now I have no suitcase to get back to uni so really ought to purchase one over the next few weeks; the problem is finding one a good size which isn't likely to break...although this one had been around for a good 5 years :) Luckily my parents may be giving me a lift back, so hopefully it shouldn't be a huge issue.
I'm looking forward to tomorrow though, as Chris and I are taking a trip into London to go to the Ideal Home Show - don't worry we'll avoid Stratford! I can't deal with that chaos two days running!
xx
